Email Reporting

Outreach provides real-time delivery tracking for email campaigns within the platform. For deeper analytics, historical reporting, and deliverability diagnostics, email reporting is available through the SendGrid dashboard.

What You Can See in Outreach

Within Outreach, the campaign detail view provides:

  • Message statuses: real-time status of each message (Delivered, Failed, Retrying, Opted Out, etc.)
  • Progress panel: a visual breakdown of message counts by status
  • Filtering and search: filter messages by status or failure reason
  • CSV export: download all messages or a filtered set with statuses and failure reasons

SendGrid Analytics and Reporting

For advanced reporting and analytics beyond what Outreach displays, use the SendGrid dashboard. SendGrid provides several reporting tools:

Email Activity Feed

A searchable, filterable log of individual email events. Use it to:

  • Examine the sequence of events for a specific message (processed, delivered, opened, bounced, etc.)
  • Search by recipient, subject line, or event type
  • Diagnose delivery issues for individual messages
  • Download event data as CSV

The Email Activity Feed is available under Activity in the SendGrid dashboard.

Statistics Dashboards

SendGrid provides aggregated reporting dashboards, including:

  • Global Statistics: overall delivery, open, click, bounce, and unsubscribe rates across all emails
  • Category Statistics: performance broken down by custom categories
  • Geographical Analytics: engagement rates by recipient region
  • Email Clients and Devices: which email clients and devices recipients use to open emails
  • Mailbox Provider Statistics: delivery and engagement rates by provider (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.)
  • Browser Statistics: click and engagement data by web browser

These dashboards are available under Statistics in the SendGrid dashboard.

Getting Started with SendGrid Reporting

  1. Log in to your SendGrid dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Activity for the Email Activity Feed, or Statistics for aggregated dashboards.
  3. Use filters and date ranges to explore your email data.
