SMS Reporting

Outreach provides real-time delivery tracking for SMS campaigns within the platform. For deeper analytics, historical reporting, and delivery diagnostics, SMS reporting is available through the Twilio Console.

What You Can See in Outreach

Within Outreach, the campaign detail view provides:

  • Message statuses: real-time status of each message (Delivered, Failed, Opted Out, Assumed Delivered, etc.)
  • Progress panel: a visual breakdown of message counts by status
  • Filtering and search: filter messages by status or failure reason
  • CSV export: download all messages or a filtered set with statuses and failure reasons

Twilio Messaging Insights

For advanced reporting and analytics beyond what Outreach displays, use Twilio Messaging Insights in the Twilio Console. This is available under Monitor > Insights > Messaging.

Twilio Messaging Insights includes several dashboards:

Overview Dashboard

Provides a high-level view of incoming and outgoing messages, including delivery rates, error counts, and overall messaging volume.

Delivery and Errors Dashboard

Helps identify patterns in delivery performance:

  • Delivery status breakdowns over time
  • Error code analysis to pinpoint common failure reasons
  • Undelivered and failed message rate trends

Responses Dashboard

Visualises inbound messages from recipients, including opt-out responses (e.g. STOP replies).

Filtering Options

You can filter data across multiple dimensions, including:

  • Time range
  • Carrier
  • Country
  • Delivery status
  • Messaging Service
  • Error code

Getting Started with Twilio Reporting

  1. Log in to your Twilio Console.
  2. Navigate to Monitor > Insights > Messaging.
  3. Use the dashboard tabs and filters to explore your messaging data.
